Official Record Contacts

For current adult county custody, booking questions, and detention information, contact the Forrest County Adult Detention Center. Its official current-custody route is the Sheriff’s inmate-roster page, which links to the current JailTracker portal.

For a booking, detention, bond, release, report, or other county record, use the Sheriff’s public-records request page. FCSO directs requesters to submit a specific written request on its form by email, mail, fax, or hand delivery. The office may provide an estimate, request clarification, arrange inspection, or explain a withholding under the applicable rules.

• For current adult custody, begin with the official roster and verify a result by date, booking number, agency, and facility.
• For a very recent booking not shown on the roster, call the booking line because intake and public display are separate steps.
• For a released person or a record not visible in current custody, use the written FCSO records route.
• For a city incident report, contact the arresting police department, which may hold a different record from the county detention file.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator covers federal inmates and does not function as a Forrest County booking list.
